Constable’s Fund raises £24,000 for local people in need

£24,000 raised for local people in need.

Thanks to the generosity of Hungerford residents, in excess of £24,000 has been donated to those in need in the community.

The Town and Manor of Hungerford set up the Constable’s Hungerford Fund last year to support local people with the cost of living crisis.

People donated, and with the Town and Manor match-funding all qualifying donations and the addition of Gift Aid, it’s been possible to ensure everyone who applied and was eligible has received a support payment.

Everyone here at the Town and Manor is stunned by the response to the Constable’s Fund and we all take great pride in being able to facilitate what has proved to be a hugely successful, fund-raising initiative,

The generosity of the people of Hungerford has, quite simply, been beyond our expectation and a big thank you goes to each and every person who contributed to the fund

Thanks to them, we have been able to make a real difference to the lives of so many people in their hour of need. It shows just what the power of community can achieve when we all pull together.
