The smallest and most intimate of our available spaces, the Magistrates Room retains a sense of grandeur thanks to the wall of impressive Victorian sash windows, which fill the room with natural light.

Conveniently located on the ground floor at the front of the building, the Magistrates Room is reminiscent of a Victorian morning room and is warm cosy and inviting.

Unfortunately the Magistrates Room does not have disabled access
Teas, coffees, soft drinks can be supplied

Preferential rates with local services such as caterers, florists, beverage suppliers, car hire, table decoration and dressing

Could you explain what their vital role is please. I thought it was more to do with grazing rights?

Lots of dog poo on the marsh aswell when walking remember to pick it up when walking your dog

Glad they were found all safe.

Gates are regularly left open along there, very frustrating 🤷

I did see a Wiltshire Police L200 head that way earlier. I reckon they are on the track from north Standen to stype. Otherwise they would surely be on a public road etc??

Hungerford's immediate environment includes; Coots, Moorhens, Canada Geese, Several breeds of Ducks and the White Royal Mute Swan. Waterfowl Day is celebrated on January 17th by the world too. Their preservation along with their environment is a duty taken seriously by a growing number of residents. The safety of all wild animals is important and Hungerford's burgeoning group, Friends of Waterfowl, recognises the role these animals play in animating our various water courses. There are mutual interests across several groups that concern us all. Those being pollution and litter in our rivers and canal. And the safety threats from uncontrolled dogs and unlicensed fisherman not having the knowledge and good sense to know where and when not to cast into or near water bourne birds. We can be thankful that our Town Council has heard some of these concerns and a wildlife preservation zone by the Wharf Bridge has been mooted as a responsible move. The same area is both a popular place for tourists and locals to bring children to interact with the resident Waterfowl. Hungerford is fortunate to have an environment that sustains many forms of wild plants and wild animals. So I'm sure when you were a youngster your parents had that awkward conversation about the water birds and the bees. And that's why you have grown up with an appreciation of the natural world.
