🐄 The cows are coming back to the common!
Our four-legged friends are due to return around 15th April — though as always, we often don’t get much notice until the day itself, so apologies in advance for any last-minute updates!
We’ll share more information closer to the time.
Keep an eye out! 👀🌿
🧹 In the meantime, we’re hosting a common clear-up this Sunday — come along and help us get it ready for our returning residents!
Meet in The Downgate car park at 10am!
Please do make sure to take all rubbish home with you going forward. Litter left on the common can be a real danger to the cows, so let’s keep it clean for them.

🫧Something a little different happening at Hungerford Town Hall today! 🫧
The Town & Manor are currently having the outside of the Town Hall building professionally cleaned, carefully removing years of dirt and weathering to reveal the beautiful brickwork and stone detailing beneath.
As far as our records show, we have no documentation of the exterior ever being cleaned before. With the building dating back to 1872, this raises an interesting question — could this potentially be the first time in over 150 years that the outside has been cleaned?🫣
We’d love to hear from you.👀
Does anyone remember the Town Hall being cleaned previously, or know of any historic records of it happening?
Please share your memories or information in the comments — local knowledge like this is incredibly valuable for preserving Hungerford’s history.
