Trustees’ Election Information 2025

We are pleased to announce the results of our recent Trustee election, which took place on Friday 23rd May 2025.
It’s that time of year again! One of the duties of the charity, The Town and Manor of Hungerford and Liberty of Sanden Fee’ is to maintain the ancient traditions associated with Commoners’ Rights.
On June 27th, 28th & 29th, a Hungerford Town Council led committee and Commemorative Convoys organised the most fantastic weekend to commemorate D-Day80.

The cows are on their way back!
Freemans Marsh will have the cows arrive back to graze within the next 10 days.
I know that many residents have missed their presence so keep an eye out!

I wondered where they were. Went for a stroll last week when I was visiting Mum. The grass was thigh high and I got soaked and had to spend all day in went trousers and trainers. No regrets though 🤷🏻♀️ I miss the Marsh

🚨 Important Notice 🚨
We’ve received several reports of motorbikes being ridden recklessly on the Common by teenagers, deliberately attempting to frighten the cows.
This behaviour is not only unacceptable — it’s dangerous and distressing for the animals, as well as other users of the Common.
The police have been informed and are now involved. We will be working closely with them to identify those responsible.
Please respect our shared spaces and the animals that live here. If you witness any such incidents, report them immediately to the police via 101 or online.
Thank you for your support.

Do you think we're a moo-tor cross circuit?
Unfortunately have also been seen riding E bikes at great speed along the marshes on the path parallel between the railway and canal
Idiots 😡
Almost guarantee it will not be Hungerford folk, as in families whom have lived in our quiet country town over 20yrs. Keep building and ruining the town i loved, but fortunately left.
