Trustees’ Election Information 2025

Well, that’s it for 2025. The Hungerford Graziers’ cattle have left us for another year as these wonderful animals head back to the farm for winter.
The Corn Exchange Wednesday market cafe is back! Nik Dimond of All Counties Catering has got the cafe off to a flying start
The Town and Manor of Hungerford has announced that its Kennet Valley Wetland Reserve project can begin!
The town hall clock isn’t chiming at the moment. 👀
Seems he’s lost his voice — either that or he’s gone on strike for better working conditions. He’s talking about the change in weather and the rain a lot?🤪
We can’t blame him, really.
He’s been working 24/7 since 1862! 🕰️
Hoping that normal service resumes soon. 🙏

Here are just some of the firework debris, plus other items, that were picked up from the common this morning.🎇
Firstly, thank you to the dog walkers that helped us and to the others who had already started collecting and piling items by the dog poo bins.
Please don’t use the common as a place to set off fireworks.
Dogs were seen running around with these sticks that were then splintering before owners could get to them, leaving them injured.
Due to awaiting transportation, we also have a small number of cows on the common also. We think, and hope, that they moved away whilst the fireworks were taking place, however, cows are curious and we’re unsure if they have eaten any rubbish/debris that was left at this point.
The glass bottles (not all pictured) could easily cause injury to cow, dog or human.
Please use our common spaces wisely 🙏
Thanks for your continued support, Hungerford!

Remembrance Sunday in Hungerford 🇬🇧
Today, the community of Hungerford came together to honour and remember all those who have served and sacrificed for our freedom. It was a moving Remembrance Sunday service at the town’s war memorial, bringing together representatives from the Armed Forces, local dignitaries, organisations, and residents of all ages.
As the wreaths were laid and the Last Post played, we paused to reflect on the courage, duty, and selflessness of those who gave everything for peace. Their legacy lives on in the freedom we enjoy today.
We will remember them.
