Tara Adamson – Clerk to the Constable and Trustees

After the resignation of the T&M’s CEO, Ellie Dickins, in April 2023 the T&M Trustees have voted not to continue with the role of CEO. The charity has employed a CEO since 2017, when Jed Ramsey was first to hold the post, followed by Ellie between 2020-2023.

For the first 400 years of its history the T&M had a ‘Clerk to The Trustees’ of the Town and Manor of Hungerford, a position last held by Sylvia Breadmore up to 2017.

Balancing the needs of the Commoner’s, the charity’s estate and the Charity Commission is a huge job, much of which is undertaken by Trustees themselves.

To help with all the back ground work and organisation, our current Admin. Assistant, Tara Adamson, who has been with the T&M for just under 3 years, has had her hours extended to once again fulfil the historical role of Clerk to the Constable and Trustees of the Town and Manor.

Tara has a wealth of experience of administration and the complexities of the Town and Manor’s affairs, and we are delighted to continue working with her for the benefit of the charity and the local community of Hungerford.

To contact Tara please ring 07880311731 or email her on clerk@townandmanor.co.uk  or pop into see her at the Town Hall Complex on Wednesday morning  between 10 – 12pm.
