‼️‼️ The Common & The Cows ‼️‼️
We are aware that number 50 is struggling. She is physically ok but has probably eaten something unpleasant.
Number 41 has a bad left rear hoof. We are monitoring her and will round her up for a jab if she does not recover in a day or two.
She has probably got some broken glass in the hoof. We shall keep an eye on her.
Please please remember that the cows are on the common for a while. Please take EVERYTHING you take on to the common home.

Would it not be worth putting a contact number for folk to contact, should they have concerns, gather having on social media?
Have you been on to the Town & Manor's website recently?
There is so much information about the town and the history that it holds!
It is definitely worth taking a look and leaning about our wonderful town that is steeped in history.

🐄🐄 The Cows Are Back 🐄🐄
Please take extra care over the coming weeks and months whilst the wonderful cows arrive back on to the common!
These are young cows and haven't seen moving bits of metal on wheels before - therefore, please do not expect them to move immediately or understand that vehicles can be dangerous to them.
We've put up new signs. We really don't want any cows to be harmed this year. Please take notice of the signs.
Thank Moo… oh, we mean, You!

Do look at a selection of photos below of each part of Hocktide!
If you have any, please do add them in on the comments🎉

We've been told about this happening this Sunday also!
We know that lots of people who follow this page may be interested in this, so we thought we'd make sure we shared the flyer so you were aware!
If you're not heading to this in Newbury, do try to pop down to The Town Hall at 10.45am to join us for the Constables Parade to St. Lawrence's Church! Our final celebration of Hocktide.
