A couple of things from us this morning…
It looks like Highways has shut the Denford bridge road! We’re unsure how long for!
The black and white cow that was unwell this morning is up and on his feet. He is feeling very poorly - the vet and farmer are aware and he is under observation!
Thank you to all who reported him to us!

We’re aware of a cow that had decided to stay alone within some trees and doesn’t appear to have moved all night.
Thank you to all who messaged their concerns.
We have people heading to check on her/him!

We’ve been made aware of a post in Hungerford Community Group regarding one of our cows escaping and now being injured!
Three hours. That’s all it took 🤣🫣
Anyway; a huge huge thank you to those who helped the cow.
They will continue to be monitored but so far - they look ok!
Please do save this number and either report any cow issues directly to this page OR text / call 07768 255831!
Thanks so much 🐄🐄🐄🐄

Look Who’s Back 👀👀
They’ve made it to us safely!
Please please PLEASE bear in mind that these cows have never seen a car move at speed, let alone be in the path of one. 🚗
Over the coming days and weeks, please drive extra carefully over the common and give the cows the space that they need to work it all out.
If you’re out walking, please do leave plenty of room between yourself and the herd. They haven’t seen lots of people and dogs before so they will be curious to begin with. Please keep your dogs close by and again, give them lots of space. 🐶
We can’t thank you enough for your co(w)operation!

🐄 They’re back! 🐄
The cows will be returning to the Common today, arriving from around 12 noon – a sure sign that the seasons are shifting and another one of Hungerford’s most loved traditions is underway again. We’re bashing out the annual traditions thing week, aren’t we?🎉
If you’re out and about this afternoon, keep an eye out as they make their way onto the Common – it’s always a special sight to see them make their way on to the common.
❗️As always, please take care when driving nearby, keep dogs under close control, and give the cattle plenty of space so they can settle back in safely ❗️
Welcome back, ladies & gents! 🌿🐄
