🙏🏼 Please Be Careful 🙏🏼
Hi everyone.
Please do be careful if you’re heading near Denford Mill over the next few days.
With the heavy rain continuing to run off of the fields, and with Denford Mill already flooded, we expect that this could get slightly worse, even with no more rainfall.
As always- stay safe!

I see the Dun by the memorial has already dropped considerably since yesterday morning
🎉It’s Still Thirty🎉
We know the cows have departed… but it is still 30mph across the common!
We really would love to keep the common as safe as possible over winter too.

🌕🌕Tonight is the last night to see the last Supermoon of 2024!🌕🌕
Known as The Beaver Moon, the best time to take a look is at 9.25pm!
This is the time it will be closest to Earth!
It is said that it is called The Beaver Moon as, The Old Farmer’s Almanac, who started naming the different supermoons in the 1930’s - recognised that at this time, beavers start taking shelter in their lodges after stocking up on food for the winter.
So: actually to do with Beavers!

Clearly your sources for this are North American. We haven’t had Beavers in Britain since 1789.
Lucky to see it cloud as usual.

In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.
We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved and were loved, and now we lie,
In Flanders fields.
Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
In Flanders fields.

Once again, this will be led by the Hungerford Town band.
The parade leaves the Market Place (outside the Town Hall) at 10.45am, arriving at the War Memorial in Bridge Street for the Service of Remembrance before 11am.
We look forward to seeing you all there.
