🐝🐝 IT’S WORLD BEE DAY 🐝🐝
What a wonderful day to celebrate! Bee’s are fantastic for the environment and our ecosystem.
That’s why, across the estate we do not use anything that could harm these wonderful buzzy bees, such as pesticides or chemicals.

🌼🌼Meadow Saxifrage Saxifraga Granulata🌼🌼
This beautiful flower is spreading around Hungerford Common! Look for the big patches on the avenue towards The Downgate & near the Threeways Road junction.
It’s declining in the UK due to less & less hay meadows and unimproved grasslands. Commonly found on grassy banks & in damp meadows.
It’s also known as ‘First of May’. Hopefully bringing the great weather with it!!

Lovely post T&M. That's what T&M is all about.
In Collingbourne Kingston too. Now I know what it is!
Fence it off ?
yes indeed the preservation of the Coomon and Freemans Marsh are just two examples.
Can You Help Us?
The designs that are carved within the pillars and stonework at the front of the Town Hall are absolutely stunning, BUT we have very little information about them!
Do you have any knowledge of these designs? Do you know the name of the person who worked with designs such as these?
Reach out as we would LOVE to know more!!

Are there no records/books from back in time?
Freeman’s Marsh covers 90 acres of wildlife habitat! How lucky are we, that this is on our doorstep.
It straddles the Rivers Dun and Kennet, and the Kennet and Avon canal to the west of Hungerford. The marsh is home to a wide variety of wild birds, plants and animals – some of which are rare in southern England.
However, some of the wildlife species associated with the Marsh, such as water voles and ground-nesting birds, have declined over recent years.
Please do make sure that you keep to the footpaths to ensure that nesting birds and other amazing wildlife aren’t disturbed! We would hate to lose them.

*there may not be a dinosaur on the marsh ☹️

Fond memories of fishing the Dunn with Lt Col Reggie Ian Purbrick Purbrick around 40 years ago. Would love to purchase a season ticket, but it sadly isn't the river it was.
Unique!
Something very exciting is happening within The Town Hall Complex this coming Sunday.
Pop down and see the wonderful things on offer!
