The Tithingman had a great time meeting the children at the United Reformed Church for the Tutti Day Crafts.

🙏We need your help!🙏
The common is FULL of dog poo.
Watching for only 20 minutes yesterday evening - we saw 3 different dog walkers not pick up their dogs poo.
Currently dogs do not need to stay on paths and dogs do not need to stay on leads (as long as they’re under control of course). We don’t want to change anything about the common… so please please pick up after your dogs!
If you don’t want to pick up after your dog, then please employ a dog walker that will be responsible.
When you have bagged your dogs poo- please find a bin or take it home.
This evening, we’ve picked up full dog poo bags - this would be fatal to an inquisitive cow.
We don’t want to moan. We love being positive. But this is already out of hand.

I watch more than my fair share too of dog owners not picking up along the towpath too!! Shocking and completely unacceptable!
Dogs and cattle do not mix .
If you can’t clean up after your dog….dont have a dog. Simple
As a community we need to play our part. If we see someone not respecting the common we need to (politely) point out that this isn’t acceptable.
Absolutely! We need to normalise picking up dog poo wherever they do it, popping it in a bin, or taking it home to do - safer and better for everyone and everything.
No excuse for this !!!

A couple of things from us this morning…
It looks like Highways has shut the Denford bridge road! We’re unsure how long for!
The black and white cow that was unwell this morning is up and on his feet. He is feeling very poorly - the vet and farmer are aware and he is under observation!

Correct, there are a lot of vehicles parked on the junction with the common road. Also the cows are moving along and across the road a LOT and feeding from the road. I’ve been flashing my lights to warn oncoming drivers 😉
Town & Manor of Hungerford How are the cows that were in the canal a few evenings ago? My husband was there and wondered if they are ok
There was supposed to be a road closure at Lower Denford today for road maintenance, but it was open at 4.30pm & no sign of any work done?
We’re aware of a cow that had decided to stay alone within some trees and doesn’t appear to have moved all night.
