How to Find Us
Hungerford is a small, and we think very beautiful, historic market town. Nestled smack bang in the centre of the North Wessex Downs Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and towards the west edge of West Berkshire, it’s surrounded by green space and rolling fields.
Within the town, known internationally for its antique shops, we’ve a wide selection of independent retailers and boutiques, cafes, pubs, hotels and restaurants. We look forward to welcoming you some time soon.
You can reach us by road, rail or canal, or if you have the time and energy, by foot along one of the many beautiful footpaths.
By Road
A short hop from the M4 junction 14, Hungerford lies just off the ancient A4 Old Bath Road, on the A338.
Rail
Sitting on the mainline route from Paddington to Taunton and Plymouth, operated by First Great Western, Hungerford also has regular trains linking it with the nearby hubs of Newbury and Reading. Click here for National Rail information
Canal
